“Small businesses provide the feeling that a real person is behind it all, someone who cares more about giving us a quality product or service, over just taking our hard earned dollars.”
– Annie Bukhman
As a designer, I truly believe in the transformative power of art and design. Specifically in their ability to simplify communications, elevate experiences, engage emotions and inspire people everywhere. Good design comes from an understanding of visual dialogue between shape, texture and colour in order to suffuse a meaningful impression in us.
Paradesa means ‘heavenly’ in Sanskrit and this concept inspires me in my work. I started Paradesa several years ago with one simple premise in mind: every person deserves beautiful things around them. I have a niche range of designs inspired by culture, heritage, lifestyle and critical observation as a craft tradesmen. I believe that you shouldn’t have to compromise your nature when it comes to the products you use, so I strive for good design, craftsmanship and practicality.
I enjoy learning the process of how things are made, how different raw materials and items are pushed to their potential to create something beautiful. This has always shaped my creative process. I want my lamps to be original, unique and meaningful.

All the lamp structures are hand-made by me and the lampshades are specially crafted by a local shop that has been operating since 1990. I love to be able to support a local business in my work. Due to my material collections and production capability, most of these creations are exclusively limited to a pair or a one-off. This is all about my passion for creativity, and my design are pieces of my imagination. Your support is meaningful for me to continue my dream further.
